Seeing Sound is an experiment in music discovery through visualization. Browsing new music is hard. Tens of thousands of new songs are released every day, but listening to every single one just to find the best ones would take months or even years. Seeing Sound asks we can judge and sort through music more quickly. As humans, we're able to instantly perceive visual similarity, recognizing shapes and colors and relating them to those we've seen before. Seeing Sound generates simple, yet descriptive, images for songs using a visual-acoustic joint embedding space, so that you can find your new favorite song without ever listening to it.
